APC IS A NON-VIOLENT PARTY...Ogbonnaya Onu Chief Ogbonnaya Onu is d 1st civilian governor of Abia state & National chairman of d defunct ANPP.Following d formation of d APC,Onu was appointed d chairman of d partys Presidential screening committee. Amid d controversy trailing d academic records of d partys presidential candidate,Gen.Muhammedu Buhari,Onu says Buhari fulfilled d constitutional requirements.That issue should not create d type of problem we are seeing in d polity.This matter came before us in d presidential screening committee & we had to rely on d constitution of d country. He stated further,to qualify to be president: *You ve to be a Nigerian by birth. *You ve to 40 yrs of age. *You should obtain education of at least secondary school certificate level or its equivalent. We ve a man who had attended military schools in Nigeria,India,UK, & Army war college in USA. Chief Onu adds that it was wrong to attribute d stoning of President Jonathan convey in Katsina to APC
