ARE YOU SET Scene 1 (Ayo was seen eating and appreciating God for the provision of such delicious food. He parked the plates to the kitchen and returned back to the room to clean up the table and re-put his room in order. He sings along as he put things in place. After putting things in place, he then picked up one of his father’s book and begins to read then he heard a knock at the door) Ayo: Who’s it? Father: it’s me, your father. Ayo: Please come in dad, the door is not locked. (his father comes in) Father: How are you today my son? Ayo: Am very fine dad. You want to sit dad? Father: Yes my son. I’ve come to check on you anyway. (Father takes his sit) Ayo: Thanks a lot daddy. Am so happy to have you for a father. Father: What am I your father for? Now let chat. Ayo: Fine dad. Let’s chat. (They both began to chat on the matters in the mind of the father for hours) Scene 2 (The following day, Ade was seen coming in into his room tired. He removed his tie and dropped it anyhow. He did the same thing with his jacket, shoe, socks and bag, everywhere was scattered. Then he threw himself on the bed so as to relax for a while. He woke up three hours later only to get himself engaged in playing game on his mobile phone. Few minutes later he heard a knock at the door) Ade: Who’s it (with long face) Father: It’s me, your father. Ade: Father! (he got up hurriedly) Please father, hold on sir. (he began to tidy up the room hurriedly) I’m coming father, just a minute. Father: (Ade was taking too much time, so his father just shook his head and left) Ade: (After he finished tidying up the room he then asked his father to come in). Father, please come in. (No response). Father, you can come in, the door is not locked. (Still no response, then he got up to open the door only to found that his father had left). Oh no! Father had left. What a mess? What a wonderful time I would have had with my father. (He went back into the room with sadness) LESSON DERIVED Ayo was always ready to welcome his father into his room every time, which is why he always takes care of his room each time he notices dirt of any kind around him. This is the position of any child of God who is always ready to meet Christ in the rapture. Even when he make mistake in his Christian journey, he makes amend immediately. He does not give room to any outstanding sin in his life. Ade however, is that kind of believer who uses his freedom in Christ as a license to become carefree about sin. At the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ however, there won’t be enough time to make amend for every sins committed due to such people’s nonchalant attitude to the way of holiness. Jesus is coming back very soon, how ready are you. Are you always ready or you’re waiting for rapture to take place before cleaning your heart of every dirt? I hereby ask you friend, which side are you on? Like Ayo or like Ade? Jesus is coming soon!!! STORY & SCRIPT: Abi-Abiola Oladipupo (Hour of Reasoning Ministries)
