AS WE WAIT...................... Todays PR - TopicsExpress

AS WE WAIT...................... Todays PR (marketwired/press-release/red-giant-entertainment-scouts-international-talent-at-two-overseas-comic-conventions-otc-redg-1962742.htm) should not be misperceived, IMO. Meaning, just because were not getting the PRs were all anticipating (yet), we should not consider this fluff. Not saying the majority do, but theres a small percentage in other forums that do (and unfortunately - as always, the negative is focused on more than the positive in front of us). The Creative folks are the backbone of the business - wherein they help create and sustain the Comic IP (product). To shrug this PR off would be insulting to the creative team involved (artists, authors, creators, directors, editors) and their hard work. We have to remember Red Giant has team members from all over the world and this includes Italy & Brazil. Weve focused on many of their talents here. LUCCA COMICS & GAMES, as mentioned in todays PR, draws huge crowds and provides great exposure (as well as talent opportunities for current/future IPs): hollywoodreporter/news/italys-lucca-comics-fest-closes-652806 luccacomicsandgames/it/2014/home/ BRAZIL COMIC CON 2014 is sort of still in its infancy, but its great to see a presence at the ground level there too: firewireblog/2014/05/18/comic-con-experience-announced-for-december-2014-in-sao-paulo-brazil/ brasilcomiccon.br/site/project/em-breve-4/ It appears to me that Mr. Campiti is traveling to these counties for both Glass House Graphics (where many of the artists for RGE reside per se) as well as Red Giant Entertainment. I presume that REDG IPs & plans, will be showcased and discussed there. For those that stay up on things, we know that this is not new information. However, the latest PR does confirm that REDG interests is at hand. For example, heres a Tweet announced in September wherein it shows one of REDG IPs esteemed artists attending as well: https://twitter/davidcampitighg/status/510246924239126529 To insinuate that people attending these events are on vacation and just taking it easy and spending REDG money may be an innacurate perception. I also assume that the costs for these events is not being absorbed by Red Giant: but more so by GHG. However, the benefit of having REDG IPs follow and looking for great talent benefits both. A win-win. Im certain that there is a lot of work that goes into attending, setting up, talent scouting, showcasing IPs and networking in these events. Having worked big (non-related) events myself, these are relentless and exhaustive affairs. To judge people for posting the occasional photo of site-seeing or eating a meal and arbitrarily saying theyre on vacation (insinuating theyre wasting REDG money) I would imagine would be insulting to those whom are working tireless hours on creating and providing for future growth. This is just my opinion in putting myself in their shoes. Would I not eat a delicious meal or take a scenic picture in beautiful Tuscany? Would I want to be judged by this - seeing only a snapshot of pre-event activity? Heres an Instagram under the Red Giant account from Lucca: instagram/p/ux23__yNFL/ AS WE WAIT........we have to be mindful of where to channel any underlying frustrations. WHO DO WE WANT TO CONTACT FOR UPDATES: MR. POWELL OR INDIVIDUAL ARTISTS/CREATORS/WRITERS? The folks who are engaged in developing the comic IPs are as passionate as we are about the products. They may voice their opinions and views - just as we will. However, if there are questions to be asked or comments to be made, really we should not blame or direct any frustrations at those involved on the creative side - they know as much as we do and await PRs like we do, etc.. If we want some answers on ad space, TRU, factoring, Nova November - please contact Benny (some of us have here and were able to get through). We may or may not get a whole lot, but he can at least hear our side of the equation in relation to these items. There is strength in numbers - and many of us feel the same. As we wait......for more good things to come. #Respect https://youtube/watch?v=cDvOXQxfFNs
