ATTENTION FOSTER RESIDENTS A neighbor and friend of many of us in town suffered the tragedy of a house fire today. The family is the Mueller family of South Killingly Road. I dont know much about house fires, but while still standing watching the dedicated men and women of Foster VFD cut a hole in the roof, I could tell it was serious. Karen told me that the house is not livable and nearly every part of the house was affected by the fire, smoke and/or water. The Muellers are a kind, giving family in our community and they are in a time of need. Of course with Karen being the kind of person she is, when I was sitting with her shortly after she came home to this horror show trying to offer help in any way I could, she only asked me to help find someone in town who has a greenhouse and can take over her volunteer duties of planting 2,000 plants for a fundraising plant drive that is for charity in town. If anyone has a greenhouse, and can spare enough room to start the growing of 2,000 plants in the next week or two, please reach out to Karen if you know her, or me and I will get you together with her. The needs of the Mueller family will be many as they recover from this tragic event, but at this point this is all that Karen asked of me, and I want to help her take care of this to at least take one worry from her during their time of need. Lets pray for their family and especially her younger children who will have a harder time understanding this whole thing.
