AUTHORITY ; When it come to our experience with authority. One of the first things, that we need to know is, that all power belong to God. The Bible says, in the book of Matthew 28 : 18, And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. The Bible says, Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God, Romans 13:1. So, from the very beginning, God was always in control, of everything and everybody, God is sovereign.The word sovereign mean, A supreme ruler, it mean a monarch, it mean possessing supreme or ultimate power.The Synonym, of sovereign mean ruler, it mean king, it mean lord. The Bible says, in the book of Genesis 1 : 26 - 27, And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. The Bible says, God created, the word create mean, to make, it mean to produce, it mean to form, it mean to fashion, it mean to bring into being. The Bible teaches us, that all being had a beginning, and that the beginning was initiated by God. It was God, that determined that each plant, and animal would procure after its kind. Only God is the true creator, in that He can, create something from nothing. The Bible says, So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. Image gives us the authority, but, likeness gives us the ability. The word authority mean, the right to give orders, or to make decisions, and enforce obedience, it mean the right to act in a specified way, delegated from one person or organization to another. The word ability mean, the capacity to do something, it mean talent that enables someone to achieve a great deal, it mean the power or capacity to do or act physically, mentally, legally, morally, financially. So, we must understand, that any authority, or ability that we may have, God gave it to us. The word Christ in the Greek mean, anointed, which mean, to anoint with oil, or to signify being set apart for any designated office, it mean to smear or rub with oil, as a part of a religious ceremony. The only way, you can become anointed is, when the Spirit of the Lords comes upon you, or is present within you. The Bible says, in the book of Isaiah 61 : 1 - 4, THE Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified. And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations. The Bible says, How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him, Acts 10:38. So, whenever God anoints an individual, he anoints them for service. He anoints them, to represent him, in the earth, and to re-present him, to the earth. The word represent mean, to be entitled or appointed to act, or to speak for someone, in an official capacity. In other words, we have been delegated by God, to represent God. The word delegate mean, a person who is sent or authorized to represent others, it mean to entrust (a task or responsibility) to another person, typically one who is less senior than oneself, it mean representative. And, everyone is here, to represent someone else. So, the question is, who do you represent, and who are you representing? See, in order to respect authority, you must understand authority. Anybody can say, if I was you, I would do this, or that. But, we are living in a day and time, when people, do not respect authority. People today do not respect positions of authority, ( the Policeman, the teachers, the preachers, parents, are not respected ). Authority must be respected, and excepted in order, to receive it. The Bible says, that God has not respect of person, For there is no respect of persons with God, Romans 2:11. When you reject, the one who is sent to you, you reject the one, who sent him, to you. I have learned, that everybody have to answer to somebody.
