AUTOCAD DRAFTER JOB SUMMARY : Under direction, within one discipline, prepares complete engineering drawings or diagrams delineating equipment, engineered systems, structures and plant arrangements with sufficient detail in drawings to guide manufacturers in developing shop drawings and to guide construction in their work. Job location: Abu Rawash Industrial Zone, Cairo, Egypt ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: 1. Works under direction in the graphic preparation of conceptual drawings and plant layouts using Computer Aided Design (CAD). 2. Develops complete engineering drawings from information provided verbally, on sketches or in notes; plans related drawing sequence to convey complete engineering information. 3. Makes basic mathematical calculations related to the discipline’s drawing responsibilities. 4. Prepares “as-built” drawings to reflect changes to designated work during construction. 5. Compiles and maintains job drawing files and records as requested. 6. Participates in and fosters a work environment that is based upon openness, trust, communication, teamwork, empowerment, innovation, and satisfaction. 7. Prepare quantity take-offs and measurements 8. Verify requirements for methods of measurements and specifications JOB KNOWLEDGE: Good knowledge of 2-D CAD drafting techniques for drawings of average complexity based on engineering drawings, graphic arts, reading of drawings and reproduction methods used by the engineering discipline. Knowledge of the basic mathematical formulas used by the discipline . EDUCATION: The above is normally acquired through: - Basic drawing and drafting experience, AND - Specialized courses in drafting and/or design, OR - A recognized degree in an engineering or scientific discipline. - ICDL Certificate.
