Aam Aadmi Party Maharashtra volunteer Manoj Gharat is an activist - TopicsExpress

Aam Aadmi Party Maharashtra volunteer Manoj Gharat is an activist who, through numerous RTI applications, had exposed the corrupt practices of the Gram Panchayat of Thal Village in Raigad. During the gram sabha that took place on August 15th, Mr Gharat raised many pertinent questions, backed by his documents regarding the issue of corruption in the village administration. NCP Leader Mahendra Dalvis wife and his coterie run the gram panchayat in Thal. Mr Dalvi got agitated by our volunteers attempt at exposing him in the sabha. Our brave volunteer was subsequently ruthlessly beaten up by Dalvi and his men from NCP. Mr Gharat has been admitted in hospital and is still recovering from serious injuries. The police administration has been lax in responding to AAPs complaints in the matter. AAP leaders Maruti Bhapkar, Ulka Mahajan, Riaz Pathan and Shrikant Acharya have met the Alibag Superintendent of Police Ankush Shinde demanding immediate action, but the assailants are still at large. AAP Maharashtra demands the immediate arrest of Mahendra Dalvi and his goons for assaulting the AAP volunteer Manoj Gharat. If the police fails to act in this direction, AAP will begin protests outside the Alibag SPs office from August 20, 2014. Contact : 8652344890
