Abia is Set for Flag Off of PDP Presidential Rally in Umuahia- Abia Commissioner for Information All is now set for the visit of President Goodluck Jonathan to Abia State on Friday this week for the official flag off of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential and governorship campaigns in the state. Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Dr. ACB Agbazuere who disclosed this at the Government House,Umuahia, while briefing the press on arrangements for the president’s visit called on Abians to come out en masse to receive the president and his team. According to the Commissioner, the event is the mother of all rallies, noting that the president has performed excellently despite being the most distracted. Dr. Agbazuere who revealed that security has been heightened in readiness for Mr. President’s visit said that Abians are happy with the president for delivering democracy dividends to the people, adding that the National Chairman of PDP, Alhaji Adamu Muazu, will use the opportunity to hand over the party’s flag to the governorship candidate of the party in the state, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu. The Commissioner said those expected at the rally with the president include the wife of the president, Dame Patience Jonathan,the Vice President, Arch. Namadi Sambo,the presidential council,state governors etc.
