Abide In The Vine “Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch - TopicsExpress

Abide In The Vine “Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing” (John 15:4-5). The Lord Jesus is the Vine and we (the Church) are His branches. That means we’re connected to Him; we’ve been pre-destined and ordained to a fruitful life; we’re born to produce results! For any branch to keep producing fruits as it should, it must remain connected to the Vine. Likewise, you must remain connected to the Lord if you desire to bear fruit continually. You must continually acknowledge that your strength isn’t in yourself but inChrist, for without Him you can do nothing (John 15:5). As I study the books of the gospel, I discover that Jesus stressed several times the fact that He didn’t come to do His own will but the will of His Father. Moreover, every time He performed a miracle, He also testified that He was only fulfilling the will of His Father. The union between the two of them is most remarkable! In John 17:22-23, Jesus prayed that we also should be included in the union with the Father. In other words, He wanted us to be perfected in this union. That means you’re in the Father through Jesus. This is why Colossians 3:3 says, “...your life is hid with Christ in God.” Now that you know you’re in the Vine, you must live as one in the vine! Let the whole world know you’re abiding in Jesus through the expression of your love for Him in words and deeds. Let this love fill your heart and mouth. You see, if you truly abide in Him and His Word abides in you, you’ll consistently speak His Word in spite of any situation. When you abide in the Lord, you acknowledge His leadership over your life; you recognize that you’re in partnership with Him; hence, you’re backed up by Deity. He becomes your personal friend. This means He’s on your mind in all you do. Double portion Praise God!
