About three years ago I met my neighbors, Rachel, Dave and their daughter Liz. I was honored when I was asked to capture Lizs wedding for them. Last night, Dave was taken to Heaven, leaving behind a wonderful wife, three children, and two young granddaughters. Dave was the kind of guy you would pray lived next door, always smiling, always working in his yard or escorting his wife around in his treasured Dodge Charger! He was a quiet guy but never without a smile or laugh on his face. His family has become my family and theis loss hurts so deeply. I wanted to share these portraits of Dave. Seeing Liz for the first time as a bride was such an emotional moment for him. I remember waiting for them to walk down the isle, and as the tears came to Liz he stood tall and proud and said to her, When youre ready sweetie, we will go when you are ready. Always a gentleman, that was Dave.
