About tonight. I keep seeing folk post a link of a live cast web thingy of other folk burning a thingy and all I can think, sadly, is of citizens huddled around a TV set, cold, watching a video of a fire. That said, and to be fair, some of my friends around the world are gathering around bonfires built to watch the burning of a man projected on white sheets draped from trees. Whatever. Burning Man is what you choose it to be. When I was new to the MidWest several people came to me at the first Regional there (2004) and said You know, I am not really a Burner. Ive never been to the Black Rock Desert. Those same people had tricked out costumes, built theme camps, fed the masses, and supplied me with much needed PBR. You dont need to go to Mecca to be on a Haj. So as much as I have criticized the BORGs betrayals of me in the past, that is politics and my own personal shit. This night is yours. Enjoy!
