Absa Receptionist (BA3) Location: Boom str , South Africa Closing Date: 28 June 2013 PURPOSE OF THE JOB To act as contact between walk-in customers and employeess in the business unit and to provide administrative support to line managers and team members. RESPONSIBILITIES • Meet and greet all walk-in customers in a professional manner • Determine customer needs in order to direct them to the appropriate contact person • Ensure that the reception area is clean and presentable at all times • Escalate problems with furniture to line manager • Inform line manager of issues arising at front desk, including irrate customers and potential security threats • Receive and screen all telephone calls in order to direct callers to the appropriate contact person • Record and relay messages to employees unavailable at the time of the call • Summarise customer waiting time and escalate to line manager • Receive, open and distribute mail after logging items • Type, fax, photo copy and file documents, reports and correspondence on request of line manager • Arrange for catering for visitors or team events when needed • Ensure the team pause area and kitchen is stocked and maintained • Maintain register of walk-in and phone-in clients • Log customer complaints and compliments • Assist line manager with preparation and retrieval of archive documentation • Distribute circulars relevant to the area to team members on request of line manager Click on the link below for full details youthzone24.co.za/job-postings/absa-receptionist-ba3/
