According to the BBC Cornwall, the substances found on eleven beaches around the Penzance are has been identified as palm oil turned rancid. It is used in food preps and soaps. Council workers have been clearing it up and signs are up to warn people at the entrances. Source not yet found. Not reached as far as St Agnes, Perranporth etc... So we may be OK. But the old Gods know we are going and have lined up some very bad weather Sunday night!
