Adriano Galliani, AC Milan’s CEO, and Filippo Inzaghi, the Serie A side’s coach, met to discuss the forthcoming January transfer window after the recent draw with Roma, according to the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera. The report claims that the pair discussed the departure of Fernando Torres during the meeting. The Spain forward is on loan at the San Siro from Chelsea until June 2016, but he is not enjoying the confidence of the coach and does not appear to be in his plans. Therefore, Milan will try to tempt Atlético to sanction a swap deal which would see the Italian forward Alessio Cerci head toward the San Siro. Cerci has thus far struggled to adapt to La Liga and life at Atlético Madrid.Milan know that the operation could be quite difficult to complete because of Torres’ high salary and the transfer fee that Atlético paid for Cerci in the summer. However, the intention is to propose an exchange that will satisfy both parties.
