Advice Issued For: Deddick Valley, Gelantipy, Butchers Ridge, Wulgulmerang East, Tubbut, Bonang Fire Origin: 20 NW GOONGERAH Incident Name: GOONGERAH-DEDDICK TRAIL Issued: 29/01/14 11:54 AM This Advice message is being issued by Department of Environment and Primary Industries for Gelantipy, Butchers Ridge, Wulgulmerang East, Deddick Valley, Tubbut and Bonang. There is a large bushfire near Deddick Trail and two smaller bushfires burning remotely in the Snowy River National Park. These fires are not yet under control and warmer weather over the next week will see an increase in fire activity. Fire fighters are currently establishing fall back lines to the south, east and north of the fires and are monitoring the fires from the air. There is currently no threat to communities, but you should continue to stay informed and monitor conditions. Tuesday 28 January is a day of Total Fire Ban. Smoke will be visible from nearby communities and roads. Road Closures Yalmy Road is closed between the intersection of Pinnak Road and Rising Sun Road. Pinnak Road is closed Park Closures Snowy River National Park east of Snowy River is closed. Errinundra National Park is closed Lind National Park is closed. The next update is expected by 29/01/14 1:00PM or as the situation changes. Safety Information: Review your bushfire survival plan. If you do not have a plan, decide what you will do if the situation changes. If you have time check your neighbours to see if they are monitoring conditions. If you are experiencing smoke exposure, seek medical advice or call Nurse on Call on 1300 606 024. Anyone using Bonang Road should remain alert and aware of fire vehicle traffic.
