Advice Issued For: Derrinallum Incident Location: DERRINALLUM Incident Name: Issued: 20/04/14 2:15 PM This Advice is issued by Country Fire Authority on behalf of Victoria Police. Police and emergency services have responded to an explosion which occurred on Saturday 12th April, approximately 2 km west of DERRINALLUM. The Hamilton Highway is currently closed between the intersections of Darlington Rd and Camperdown-Lismore Rd. Detours are in place via Camperdown for those travelling through the location. Further information is available from VicRoads website. Derrinallum township is accessible to local traffic. There are more planned controlled detonations will continue into next week within the incident exclusion zone. There is no threat to the public from this activity. A community meeting will be held at the Derrinallum community hall on Monday 21st April at 7.30pm. Any person who has further information to assist Victoria Police in regards to the incident are encourage to contact Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000. The next update is expected at 21/04/14 2:00 PM or as the situation changes. Safety Instructions: The public are to avoid the exclusion zone.
