Afamilyforeverychild.org is sponsoring a hero for a day event on Sunday, April 6, 2014. This special day is an opportunity for all Oregon boys between the ages of 2-18 who are in foster care to be treated like a Hero for a Day. It is designed to be a gift for foster children in the community as well as raise awareness of foster children in Oregon, many of whom have been legally freed and are waiting to be adopted. Teaming up with local Heroes like the University of Oregon athletes and the Eugene/Springfield Fire department we hope that you will join us in making this event a day these children will never forget! We are collecting donations of: sporting balls, capes, masks, hats, other dress up items, anything Hero related, or money. All donations are tax deductible and can be sent to: 1675 West 11th Ave., Eugene, OR 97402. Or send me a PM and I will arrange to pick the items up from you locally in the Rogue Valley.
