After 5 days of travelling through the history of peninsular India, tasting some awesome Kannada heartland food. We are smitten but the stories of the ruins of the Vijayanagara, Vatapi and the surrounding empires. Stories that stretch through a few centuries of conspiracies, battles, administration, trade, familial feuds, religions and technological advancements. History of several dynasties like the Chalukyas, Hoysalas, the Pallavas, Mughals and the Bahmani Kings ruled and left their mark on this region that is geological splendour in peninsular India. We are excited about the prospect of a 5 day trail that will emerge in December from our recce of this region. Here are a few final glimpses from the remainder days.
