After 5 long weeks, Kaelyn is headed back to the states. Time goes by so quickly when you’re with me. Minutes flash past like seconds; hours slip by with every passing breath. But when you’re gone - the very moment our lips part and our hands unlink, time stops. It slows, and I’m forced back into the real world. This is when I think of you. I think of you when you’re lying beside me, chest gently rising and falling, lost in your own dream world, peaceful, vulnerable. I think of you when you’re sat across the table from me at a fancy restaurant, brown eyes sparkling, two half-empty wine glasses between us. I think of you when you’re deep in thought, brows furrowed, hands clasped, legs crossed. I think of you every second of every day, and whether those seconds fly by like the wind, or whether they drift on, lazily, for what seems like forever, you are always, always on my mind and in my heart. And that’s something distance could never break. We’ll be together soon, my love. So soon. But until then, I’m hoping and praying that time goes faster than it’s ever gone. Because we are on the brink of something new, something magical, and I have never been more excited.
