After Currys comments on him believing he is a better offensive - TopicsExpress

After Currys comments on him believing he is a better offensive player then Lebron(good on him for the confidence) I thought Id have a go at comparing them In my opinion Lebron vs Curry offensively really depends on the team they are going to play on. If a team has poor shooting and spacing issues, give me the greatest 3 point shooter of all time in Curry. If the team has decent spacing or better then give me Lebron. (obviously other pieces can change this, like say having a prime Amare on a decently spaced team Id rather have Curry there) But simply comparing their games, Curry has the better offensive dribble (beating someone using their handles) and obviously a better jump shot game (from 16 and out), whilst Lebron has the better defensive dribble (under pressure, has a lot to do with him being big), better post game and is a monster around the rim. That leaves play making. comparing their play making is a tough comparison to make due to the different coaches and responsibilities placed on each olayer. Lebron played with other ball handlers and in a system that suited him where he could read and react to how the defence played him. Curry on the other hand was left out to dry offensively by the coach *cough* M-Jax *cough* and had to create a lot of the offence by his own means (Warriors had something like the least amount of passes last season, heavily due to a lot of Isolations and there being no play progression*) . Id give Curry the edge in playmaking as he had more responsibility resting on his shoulders. Either way you look at it these are two of the best offensive players in the NBA with completely contrasting styles, Lebron the big athletic freak and Curry the man with The Shot, you cant go wrong with either choice. Im taking my man Steph Curry though, less baggage, more exciting and I like him more as person. *watch the Spurs play, they had so many options on their plays, if something didnt work they would go onto the next progression. The Warriors never had that next progression so Curry had to make it up a lot of the time. Rambot
