After a soggy Saturday rain chances will take a breather for most of the Commonwealth this afternoon. Storm chances will work into southern Kentucky after lunchtime, and while a stray shower is not out of the question for central portions of the state, storms will remain isolated. Any showers or thunderstorms that develop will likely begin to clear up by the early evening and it’s likely the sun will peak out from behind the clouds for most of us today.Patchy fog is possible for the low laying areas on your morning commute Monday, especially for those of us who soak up some extra rain from today’s storms and areas where cloud cover slacks overnight. By noon, more rounds of showers and storms will build across the state. The stormy trend takes a break after a cold front drops in late Tuesday. The sunshine returns Wednesday with temperatures staying much cooler than the average for this time of year. The break in storms of course will not last forever. Rain chances seem to build back in by next weekend.
