Afternoon everyone! Its Aim of the Day time! Todays Aim: Developmental Sports- Myself and most of the sports teams I have spoken to have agreed that the name focus sports makes them feel like that they do not get as much attention from the university as the sports with the focus sport label. This is where I want to scrap the focus sport name and instead invite all sports to become developmental sports. As part of this strategy, I aim to offer strength and conditioning sessions to as many sports teams as possible, ensure regular meetings with clubs and their CCs to ensure things are going smoothly and everyone is happy, and also ensure everyone has equal training opportunities by utilising the space within the university and linking in with local clubs and venues to use their facilities, offering more training training time for sports and integrating students with outside links. If you feel that this is something you want to see achieved, please vote for me as Sports Officer.
