Age I was given: 28 Where I lived: NYC, Queens What I drove: maybe a Ford Torino or no car at all What I did: I was at The Village Voice Newspaper as their Assistant Art Director in the Promotion Dept. but soon to be leaving after three years there. Primarily due to the shaky environment when Rupert Murdoch purchased newspaper. I would then begin a career of Freelancing when the Editorial Art Director of the VV suggested I contact Elizabeth Van Itallie who was in need of an Assistant to help layout newspaper The New York Rocker. Had a real blast working there and meeting so many like-minded people in the Punk / New Wave music scene, but it was short-lived unfortunately because the Newspaper folded about 1 year later. This was also around the time I had a couple of bands called Max Fraction, Manny Street, and later the Mantra Sheiks. Fortunate to have played at these places during that time: CBGBs, Danceteria, the VV Christmas Party, Folk City, Mills Tavern, Kennys Castaways, My Fathers Place, and the Forest Park Bandshell. Who had my heart: Had a short-lived romance with a co-worker at the VV Age now: Dirty old man with fresh ideas Where I live: Queens, NY What I drive: Toyota Corolla What I do: Graphic / Web Designer for the Carnegie Council by Day; Singer/Songwriter Performer by Night Who has my heart: my physical therapist Like my status I will give you an age I got my age from Phil Gammage
