Airtel India, your announcement to charge extra for VoIP data is a gross violation of net-neutrality. On your website, you state that “By 2015 airtel will be the most loved brand, enriching the lives of millions”. I fail to see how erecting barriers to communication achieves that. If you wish to raise revenues, provide better customer service so that more people join the network, instead of copying your shareholder Singtel and attempting to charge for services that were always meant to be free. Don’t be greedy. You have made terrible business decisions in the recent past, and have an understandable need to prop up your profits again. But squeezing your customers dry is a terrible way to do so.
