Al was up and ready to go to breakfast when we arrived this morning. He is doing better every day and is able to stand for a very short time. He was standing on his own (holding the handrail on the wall while facing it) and he shuffled first to the left and then to the right for a few steps before sitting back into his wheelchair. His appetite is improving too. He ate a ham and cheese sandwich last night for dinner. This was the first time he has eaten much of anything beyond jello, fruit juice, or other soft, liquid foods. Al continues to work with his three therapists daily (except for Sundays) and his speech is so much better. Complete sentences are making conversations so much easier. Thanks for your continued prayers...Al is blessed by God daily.
