All religions supposedly teach moderation. . . Then why are so - TopicsExpress

All religions supposedly teach moderation. . . Then why are so many temples, churches, mosques and other places of worships huge and lavish? Some are even decked in gold and silver. Some cost millions of dollars. Some are decked with such luxuries. Ironically, many of these lavish places of worships are found in the midst of extreme poverty. . . Why do people spend millions on places of worship when all you need is a simple place to worship? If religions really preach moderation, then why such gross display of glittery and opulence? If religion really preaches good values, should the money be better spent on providing education or hospitals or getting people out of poverty? . . Have a productive week, folks
