All this drama, and they are asking the wrong questions. Is the reason so many fail to graduate because they were unsuited to college level material in the first place? Not everyone needs to go to college, no matter what your guidance counselors tell you. The trades (plumber, electrician, etc.) pay very well, as do many other blue collar jobs, like CNC mill operator, and welders. That employers ask for a bachelors is not because the job requires a degree, but mostly because they are not allowed to test for intelligence before hiring, now, so they farm this off to the colleges. Also, not everyone is mature enough to handle the responsibilities of attempting an undergraduate degree. I can tell you about this one first hand. I think these schools are doing themselves a disservice by twisting themselves into knots over the graduation rate. Sometimes, its not about you. Students have a say in the graduation outcome.
