Allah(Swt) says in the Glorious Quran: O you who believe (Muslims)! When the call is proclaimed for the Salât (prayer) on the day of Friday (Jumuah prayer), come to the remembrance of Allâh [Jumuah religious talk (Khutbah) and Salât (prayer)] and leave off business (and every other thing), that is better for you if you did but know! [Quran-62:9] Narrated Salman Al-Farsi: Allahs Apostle (p.b.u.h) said, Anyone who takes a bath on Friday and cleans himself as much as he can and puts oil (on his hair) or scents himself; and then proceeds for the prayer and does not force his way between two persons (assembled in the mosque for the Friday prayer), and prays as much as is written for him and remains quiet when the Imam delivers the Khutba, all his sins in between the present and the last Friday will be forgiven. [Bukhari :: Book 2 :: Volume 13 :: Hadith 33] Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, When it is a Friday, the angels stand at the gate of the mosque and keep on writing the names of the persons coming to the mosque in succession according to their arrivals. The example of the one who enters the mosque in the earliest hour is that of one offering a camel (in sacrifice). The one coming next is like one offering a cow and then a ram and then a chicken and then an egg respectively. When the Imam comes out (for Jumua prayer) they (i.e. angels) fold their papers and listen to the Khutba. [Bukhari :: Book 2 :: Volume 13 :: Hadith 51] [Revive a Sunnah]
