Alleged Refund of N22bn To Ekiti By FG: Fayemi’s men living in self-delusion - Fayose’s Aide Special Assistant to the Ekiti State governor on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka has described supporters of the immediate past Governor of the State, Dr Kayode Fayemi as people living in self delusion. He said there was no time Federal Allocation to Ekiti State was witheld as being claimed on Social Media by Fayemi’s men, adding that Fayemi’s refusal to pay workers August and September, 2014 salaries was criminal and that no amount of lies by his Social Media men can wash him clean of culpability in the non-payment of the salaries and cooperative societies deductions. Olayinka described as shameless lie the statement being circulated on the Social Media by Fayemi’s men that President Goodluck Jonathan said at the campaign rally in Ado Ekiti yesterday, that N22bn owed Ekiti State by the Federal government had been paid. The governor’s aide said; The whole world listened and saw President Jonathan speak at the campaign rally and he never mentioned that N22bn was refunded to Ekiti. By going on Social Media, lying so shamelessly, Fayemis men are unknowingly tarnishing the already tarnished image of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and demonstrating to the entire world that falsehood is indeed the party’s real identity. Also, it showed Fayemi’s desperation to cover up the crime he committed against workers in Ekiti, especially teachers whose August and September salaries were not paid despite that federal allocation meant for the payment was received. It is on record that Fayemi’s government collected July and August allocation and that two months allocation was stolen through hurried payment for contracts instead of using it to pay August and September salaries. Olayinka however assured that the two months unpaid salary will be paid by the Governor Ayodele Fayoses administration very soon. He said; Unlike Fayemi, Governor Fayoses government received September allocation in October and as it is the practice and October salary of workers was paid with the allocation.
