Alumni Spotlight: Multiple alumni from Lock Haven University (PA Gamma Psi) came together to donate money to send an additional delegate to Convention. This is a BIG deal considering PA Gamma Psi is not an active chapter...therefore, their donation is going to help undergraduate Pilams from chapters other than their own. Talk about selflessness! When asked why these alumni wanted to donate, they had this to say, Although our chapter is not currently active, we decided to donate towards funding an additional delegate for Convention as a way to help further something that stands for so much more than just our individual chapter. When joining Pi Lambda Phi, we all did so for various reasons. However, the main thing that attracted us to Pi Lambda Phi is its openness to accept all men of all creeds. This fundamental tenant of our Creed helps better any college or university where an active chapter of Pi Lambda Phi is located. Donating towards funding an additional delegate is a small gesture in comparison to the countless hours that our fraternity’s undergraduate brothers put into philanthropic activities, community service, and fostering a strong brotherhood. From our experience, Convention provides a great opportunity to provide leadership training for undergraduate brothers and if our donation is able to help progress the virtues of our Creed in the least bit, it will be the best money that we have ever spent. Wow...thank you Peter Hertzog and the alumni from PA Gamma Psi who made this happen. You all are fantastic examples of what it means to be contributing alumni. “Not Four Years, but a Lifetime”
