Always vote kingdom. The city of Detroit, Michigan has been at - TopicsExpress

Always vote kingdom. The city of Detroit, Michigan has been at the center of national controversy for decades. I believe that is because this city is a precipice of religion, entertainment and industry in America. Historically, many great movements for social and economic change were started in Detroit. Great inventors, doctors and educators were born in Detroit. And as we all know, Detroit has produced actors, musicians and world renown celebrities. This city continues to be a major hub for national and international commerce and the nation watches intently what will happen in this city with our upcoming mayoral election. When I go to the polls and vote it is after I have given careful prayer and consideration to who I believe is the best candidate for leadership. I follow the same process in local, state and national elections. I do not vote on name recognition, popularity, legacy or race. I have been a life long resident of the city of Detroit and have never voted for any of the mayors who have been in office during my lifetime. I am not sure that my candidate will be elected on November 5, but if he is, it wont be due to my one single vote. It will be because the majority decided this was the man they wanted to run this city for the next four years. Campaigns are filled with lies on both sides. It is the nature of the business. Therefore if you believe what you are told you will always vote incorrectly. Voting intelligently requires personal investigation, research and the ability to discern the Lords voice in whom to select. If people voted according to who the Lord wanted we would always have the correct person in office. In the Bible, Israel demanded a king. The prophet Samuel tried to tell them to wait until the Lord had raised His ruler, but the people were impatient. They then chose Saul, a good looking, charismatic, affluent man who initially had the heart of God, but then allowed power to corrupt him. He ruled the people in fear and intimidation eventually leading to his tragic death along with his sons. Samuel told God that the people would not listen to him and wait. God told Samuel that the people were rejecting the Lord, not his prophetic instruction. The Lord told Samuel to give the people the king they wanted with warning. America wanted Barack Obama. In Detroit, the people wanted Kwame Kilpatrick. In Detroit, the people wanted Charles Pugh. Do the people still sing the praises of any of these elected leaders? On November 5, the people of Detroit will have another chance to choose and considering the condition of this city, neither candidate has the power to change this city overnight. It will require a collective effort of government, industry, educators, church and community working together to bring this city back to respectability. If you are a resident of Detroit who will vote in this election you have only one question to answer, Who does the Lord says is the best person to bring this transformation? If you vote based on race you have already selected the wrong person. If you vote simply because you want a change you have also voted wrong. There is only one way to vote in this election - kingdom. The residents of the city must vote correctly this year. You must elect the best candidate for Mayor and the best representatives for city council. You cannot allow your personal biases and prejudices to prevent you from making an intelligent decision. Detroit cannot afford another four years of everyone deserved a chance. We are beyond experimentation and our grace period as a nation is coming to an end. We must vote and vote wisely. Detroit cannot afford another mistake.
