For more information or to register please call (954) 926-3636 or e-mail info@cbyme Famous Painters with Ms. Perla Tuesdays 5pm-6pm for 7 to 12 year olds Six sessions staring 9/16 with no class on 10/14 $90 plus $30 materials fee The student will learn to look at art from the eye of a famous artist. One artist will be explored the first four lessons, and the last two sessions will be spent creating their own masterpiece. The student will learn about each artist and then try to imitate the artist’s style, but using their own ideas and unique interpretations. The students will learn the basic techniques of painting with demonstrations to guide them in each step. New material and approaches will be presented to both beginners and experienced painters. Instruction time will include lessons about mixing color, composition and design. Lots of individual instruction will be provided. Self-Portrait Class with Ms. Christina Fridays 3:30pm-4:30pm for 4 to 7 year olds Six sessions staring 9/19 with no Class on 9/26 $75 plus $25 materials fee In this beginning Art class, kids use and explore the medium of oil pastels and the art-making process. They will be introduced to the concept of color, line, shape and form. They will work on the process of planning, sketching, drawing, blending and creating. Each week, we will cover one skill or technique, and building on those skills to create a beautifully finished product! This week-by-week class has a culminating product of a Self-Portrait. Nature Painting with Ms. Perla Sundays 10:30-11:30am Six sessions starting 9/21 with no Class on 10/12 $80 plus $30 materials fee This course is designed to help the students to learn how to paint and sketch the elements of nature. Ms. Perla will guide the students to become painters who understand nature’s beauty and are able to capture it through an artist’s brush. Each class will include instruction and demonstrations with different painting and drawing mediums and techniques. The session will culminate with the students creating a masterpiece on canvas.
