An important announcement from Alan Hochman, owner of Pastimes and Tournament Organizer of the Super Sunday Series Championship: The Super Sunday Series Championship is a very special event held at Wizards of the Coast. Only one person is qualified to attend from each Grand Prix after playing in the Super Sunday Series Qualifier. In 2014, this means there will be only 46 players with invitations to this very exclusive event. It has come to our attention that the winner of the Super Sunday Series Qualifier from Grand Prix Richmond was recently suspended from sanctioned Magic events. As such, this player is ineligible to play in the Super Sunday Series Championship in January of 2015. Due to the limited nature of the invitation and the circumstances at hand, we are extending a special invitation to the runner up of of the Richmond Super Sunday Series Qualifier to compete in the Championship. It is our hope he will join us for this great event and enjoy a truly special weekend with Magic enthusiasts from all over the globe. The Super Sunday Series Qualifier occurs on the Sunday morning of each Grand Prix weekend and offers one of the most exclusive prizes handed out in Magic - a trip to and tour of the Wizards of the Coast Headquarters, the opportunity to hang out and play Magic with Wizards employees from Organized Play and Research and Development, a prize pool consisting of over $20,000.00 and other exclusive goodies for the participant. The Super Sunday Series Championship is sponsored by the Tournament Organizer from each Grand Prix.
