And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren: and they hated him yet the more. And his brethren said to him, Shalt thou indeed reign over us? Or shalt thou indeed have dominion over us?...(Genesis 37 vs 5,8). That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional Today. The first level of Josephs greatness was at the instance of his father. His father loved him, gave him a coat of many colours, and in a matter of time, he became a star among his brethren. His first level of greatness came because he was helped by a man. His first level of greatness came because a man was nice to him. Notice that when Joseph eventually became great in Egypt,it had nothing to do with his coat of many colours, but it had everything to do with the divine revelation that God gave him. That means, the second level of Josephs greatness was orchestrated by a divine revelation. His second level of greatness came by the finger of God. Friend, True and Lasting greatness is a function of what God has revealed concerning your destiny. True greatness is not dependent on your contacts or human abilities, advantages etc. God says, your greatness shall be a function of what He has said concerning you. You may have achieved relevance because of what a man did for you, but there is a higher level of relevance and distinction that will come when God reveals the pathway to this greatness. Ask God to give you unique revelations that will move your destiny to the next level. Ask for that new dream from divinity that will catapult your destiny to the next level. Ask Him for that revealed idea that will distinguish you in your career. If all your efforts in life begin and end with human idea and help, you may not fulfil destiny; but when divinity steps in, it will be truly great and lasting!
