And Rabbi Shimon laughed and rejoiced.” These are the words of the Zohar describing the manner in which Rabbi Shimon left this world. This is a beautiful lesson for us all to remember… for the kabbalist, the body is an instrument to do the work of the soul in this physical reality. When this work is done, the soul travels to the upper worlds to serve without limitation. Today the Rav chose to leave this world. Although we cannot understand the reason that the Rav’s has chosen to continue to share with us all from above, we can hold onto our consciousness and connect to the Light of the Rav’s soul. We can celebrate the Rav’s life and his choices, including this one. Let’s make an effort not to be saddened by the limitated view of our senses. This is how the Rav taught us, this is how the Rav lived in this world, and it is the most important thing we can do in return for all that the Rav has given to us . In the RAv’s 86 years, he carved a path for millions to learn and live Kabbalah. The Rav has left us with tens and thousands of hours of teachings, infinite knowledge, a history of miracles, courage, and certainty in a place that everyone can call home. No matter who we are, what we have done, or what we believe in the Rav unconditionally supported our way. May the Light give us the permission and the strength to keep the Rav’s vision powerful and strong continuing the job of manifesting human dignity and immortality in the physical world. Thank you for your support, for your consciousness and for your love. The Kabbalah Centre
