And Simon answering said unto Him, Master, we have toiled all the - TopicsExpress

And Simon answering said unto Him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net. And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake Luke 5:5-6. Hallelujah! As children of God, born of the Spirit, our responsibility is simply to be obedient to the word of God and His voice irrespective of how absurd it may look. For it is written in John 10:27 that My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. Simon in the opening scripture made a remarkable statement when confronted by the Master to let down the net. Infact, he exhibited an attitude of reluctance but still obeyed Him and as a result, obtained a breakthrough. Many christians, just like Simon, as a result of the circumstances and conditions they find themselves, find it difficult to simply believe and obey the word of God, and thus, will rather seek the help of men in desperate times. But the Bible says in Jeremiah 32:27 that Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me? God promised our father Abraham a son even when Abraham and Sarah were both dead. But the Bible says that Abraham staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief, but he was strong in faith giving glory to God. The fact is, even though God had promised him, he saw the promise coming into reality so many years after the promise was given. Though the word of God shall tarry long, it shall definitely come to pass in your life. All you need to do is to be obedient to God and give Him glory all the days of your life, for we walk by faith, and not by sight. Let us be strong in our faith by studying Gods word and always remain obedient to His voice. It is He that knoweth the end from the beginning and so let us keep trusting in our God. He has chosen you to be a royal priesthood and so live with this consciousness. You are a child of The King.
