Andrew Holness turned down as juror in Kartel trial KINGSTON, Jamaica -- The court erupted in laughter during jury selection in the Vybz Kartel case Wednesday morning after the clerk announced the next name on the list: Andrew Holness. Everyone immediately looked to the back of the courtroom in expectation. Kartels attorney Tom Tavares Finson immediately jumped to his feet and quipped, Challenge defence. More laughter erupted. After a while a short man of fair complexion emerged and took his seat in the jury box, his occupation given as aircraft mechanic. But when potential juror Holness was to take the oath he was actually challenged by Tavares Finson who supported Jamaica Labour Party Leader (JLP) Holness in the leadership bid by Deputy Leader Audley Shaw. All 12 jurors including eight women have now been selected. #Admin Shatta
