Anon asks Hi, I am wondering if anyone can help with suggestions. My breast-fed baby is 3.5 months and is mostly very healthy. She had colic in the beginning and still has reflux (she pukes a LOT during the day). She used to be on meds for the reflux, but she seems to be coping ok now, despite the constant puking / posseting after and between feeds. The meds never stopped the puking, it just stopped the pain. However, the main issue were experiencing now is that she is battling with a sore tummy early in the mornings - EVERY morning. She sleeps beautifully from 6:30pm till midnight. She wakes for feeds at midnight and then again at 3am. She bearly wakes for these feeds and goes straight back to sleep afterwards. However, between 3am and 4am she starts cramping and moaning in her sleep. She hunches forwards as if her tummy is really sore and flails her arms around, often hitting me in the face or pinching me really hard (so clearly she is in pain). She doesnt wake fully, but fusses like this on and off until about 5 or 5:30am... and then she is WIDE awake, but happier. Sometimes during the fussing she has a bowel movement, sometimes she has it after 5:30am. I guess I am looking for suggestions if anyone has ever experienced something like this before as I would really like to sleep beyond 3am. She also struggles a lot more with reflux early in the morning. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
