Another Sunday morning. Like the rest of the world I am appalled - TopicsExpress

Another Sunday morning. Like the rest of the world I am appalled with what happened yesterday and is continuing today in a shopping centre in Nairobi, absolute horror and carnage of innocent people which is indefensible. At the same time we quietly learn of 80 people killed in Baghdad almost in passing on the news, it appears we have all become so used to hearing of such events that it is almost just another daily occurrence somewhere in the world. I have no argument with anyone’s religion or their right to pick their own government and leadership, however it seems that violence is the way chosen by so many and that no one is willing to sit down and compromise or even discuss compromise any more. Syria is a situation beyond belief yet there appears to be no answer to their problem while the big boys continue to debate the pros and cons thousands continue to suffer and many dying. One cannot imagine the suffering that is taking place in all these different situations, the United Nations by its definition is a joke disunited more to the point. At least South Africa has the balls to say they do not support armed intervention in various war-torn areas, they have seen that debate and dialogue if given the chance can ultimately succeed (not without difficulties and hardship) but only if once again you have the right leadership. It seems all we can do is send our sympathy and condolences to all these countries that suffer such atrocities which is somewhat hollow in the scheme of things.
