Another WRR rescue story! WRR recently received a phone call - TopicsExpress

Another WRR rescue story! WRR recently received a phone call from an employee of the Parman Library at Stone Oak in San Antonio. The employee was concerned about an injured skunk. After receiving the phone call, our rescue specialist made several attempts to coordinate a WRR Volunteer to rescue the lethargic skunk, but no one was available. It was then that one of the Apprentice Caretakers went out to rescue the skunk. The caller was grateful for WRR’s service and wrote us this note: “Good afternoon! I just wanted to extend to you our gratitude for helping us out this morning at the Parman Library at Stone Oak. One of your staff members – I unfortunately did not get her name – came to pick up an injured skunk that we found by our staff entrance when we arrived for work this morning. Without her assistance, we would not have been able to take care of the animal. I really appreciate your staff member who came out to attend to the skunk as well as Lisa who answered my initial phone call and kept me updated throughout the morning as she called volunteer after volunteer to try to find someone who could come out here. Her dedication and persistence is admirable.”
