Job Details Position Title: IT Administrator Job Code: Reports To: Executive Director Organization: IT 2. Job Dimensions: Compensation: $40,000-50,000 Dependent upon experience Number of Staff Supervised: 0 Direct Reports: 0 Total: 0 3. Essential Functions: The IT Administrator is responsible for providing technology vision and support for developing and implementing information and business development. The jobholder demonstrates the ability to provide tactical planning, development, evaluation and coordination of the information and technology systems for the organization. 4. Key Accountabilities Organization-wide Planning • Participate as an integral and active member in the IT planning process of BSS Orlando. • Develop, coordinate, guide and maintain IT systems strategic and operational plans in support of the overall business strategy. • Develop and maintain enterprise systems architecture, taking into account standards and industry best practices. Advisory • Provide advice on evaluation, selection, implementation and maintenance of information systems, ensuring appropriate investment in strategic and operational systems. • Negotiate all IT acquisition contracts, soliciting involvement and participation of other management team members as appropriate • Provide responsive advice, counsel, education and service to BSS Orlando concerning IT issues and trends in the IT industry • Communicate IT plans, policies and technology trends throughout the organization, including management groups and professional staff. • Promote and oversee relationships between BSS Orlando’s IT resources and external entities IT Administration • Aligns the network operation and implementation with the organization goals . • Ensures policies and standards related to corporate network are adhered to. • Plans, designs, and implements new networking solutions (Such as VOIP, wireless and unified communication) • Administers the network and hardware operations. • Monitors and manages performance related issues on account of Network bottlenecks. • Proposes technology enhancement. • Ensures smooth, redundant and reliable network operation. • Maintains network configuration and communication info. • Provides, control and monitors Internet Access control for the Corporate Network. • Installs and upgrades existing network hardware (such as routers, switches). • Plans, designs and implements LANs and WAN for the organization. • Records issues if any, and escalates to proper channel for resolution. • Provides support for all MS Office and Web software requirements. • Oversees maintenance of WAN & LAN across all units and delivery channels. • Network Management of LAN/WAN and communication links. Co-ordinates with the service providers for all the communication requirements for the organization. • Ensures the security of the corporate network and control access (Net screen Firewall, Blue Coat, SSL VPN). • Prepares all new employee related IT set-up requirements • Protects against all network vulnerabilities. • Assists in Social Media initiatives as related to IT requirements. 5. Decision Making: The jobholder works with minimal supervision under the general guidance the Executive Director. The jobholder performs assigned duties to achieve desired results and is able to find relevant solutions to day to day routine issues and refers major matters, with recommendations, to supervisor. 6. Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills: Qualification • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Technology or related field • MS Certification Experience • VBA Experience • Network and Hardware Experience • Web Software Knowledge • MySQL experience Knowledge & Skills • Ability to work as a strategic partner to the business driving key initiatives through technology. • Self starter who possesses high-level effective inter-personal, influencing and communication skills.
