Another special lady has entered the gates of heaven. My heart is truly breaking for her husband and her family. She was the sweetest, kindest and gentile lady who was old fashion and full of love for her husband and family. I feel for her husband because it was like he lost her awhile back when she was inflicted with Alzheimer Disease. But that does not make the grieving any easier and he is a mans man and sometimes that makes it harder. Not sure what to do besides the normal stuff a sympathy card, flower arrangement for the funeral and prayers. I want to go running over with a case of beer and nuts and laugh and cry but I am not family. I will remember this special lady as she and I had a special relationship which brought us closer together. She never knew how to swim and in her mid 60’s she and I took baby steps together and worked on her fear of the water that was over 30 years ago. She was so brave and had good reason for her fears. I looked forward to the summer months so we could spend a couple of hours a week together in and out of the water. She wanted to be more comfortable being near the water at their cottage. Her husband and I have become extra close this summer as he has become kinda of a confident to me and vice versa……maybe that is why I am so emotional hearing the news of her passing today. She did get to live a full life prior to her memory going and she loved nature and her small poodles and her family. My Mom was fond of her also and I know she will be giving her a big hug along with all the other souls that are welcoming her to the afterlife.
