Anyone my age grew up in interesting times. It was the birth of the internet, Christian Slater was a God for starring in such films as Pump up the volume or Heathers, and Mallrats was just hitting the shelves so our best friends could introduce us to a whole new kind of movie making for the post Baby Boomer era. Today Id like to introduce you to a director and script writer that likely needs none... Kevin Smith. Regardless... Most of you know him for such things as Clerks, Mallrats, or more recently Red State (which you must watch if you havent. Best Smith movie ever.) Hes worked with some pretty influential stars. Ben Afleck, Bruce Willis, John Goodman... The list goes on. But some of my favourite moments from this director and script writer dont come from his films, they actually come from his Q & A regarding his experiences in the film business, and God does he shed a light on so many cool things I wish I could have been there to experience. One of which experiences is his recollections on working with the great Bruce Willis. Just for a taste... Check out what it might be like to direct Bruce Willis. And if you like it... Realise Kevin Smith has several Q and As over the last two decades titled An evening with Kevin Smith 1-3 and a couple more afterwards. If youre a fan... You need to check this out. As a matter of fact... You need to watch about 18 hours of Kevin Smith just going on about his experiences, thoughts, and ambitions in the film industry. Cause damn... Its out right inspiring. This guy got me through two breakups and a mid life crises. Seriously. Enjoy. https://youtube/watch?v=TD6xszSHWhQ
