Anyway for those unpatriotic sierra Leone who wants to bring MKM down. Read this article after we did thorough investigation about the said incident in Rokupa and Portee. The issue was about a self organized community exercise sponsored by Mohamed Kamarainba Mansaray, National Chairman and Leader of the Alliance Democratic Movement (ADM). In his trash, the Jounalist alleged that Kamarainba was a fake and described his humanitarian effort to the people of Constituency 99 as him wanting to gain cheap political favour. I chose to respond to this trach not to draw daggers with the author but to set the records straight and perhaps try to teach the author what is sober journalism. After reading the Journalists misguided and politically ill-motivated trash on the honest effort of the fine politician, I decided to make these points clear. I was present alongside six other veteran journalists when youths from Rokupa and Portee paid Kamarainba a courtesy call at his Rawdon street office early last week. They told him they wanted to organize a community cleaning exercise but needed financial support. Kamarainba counted one million leones from his hard earned money (not that Ebola monies stolen by your politicians on a daily basis) and gave it to the youths as food for work. He again gave them another Le500,000 to further give to the Community Health Workers (CHW) that would be volunteering to do the cleaning. The youths thanked and invited him to witness the cleaning exercise held on past Saturday which he obeyed gently. Kamarainba visited the community as promised and again gave Le100,000 to each of the 12 quarantined homes in the constituency after sympathizing and empathizing with residents therein. He additionally gave another Le500,000 to the various community organizations in the constituency. After touring the communities, the leader also gave an additional $100.00 after the cleaning exercise to the leader of the youth, known as Mohamed Bangura aka Biggy in order to remove and transport all the trashes in the areas cleaned and take them to a dumping site. Unfortunately, because of the reckless politics being practiced in this country, coupled with kind of gutter journalism in active play, after the entire exercise the youths collected all the wastes and dumped them. Night past and the following day, people were very much shocked to see huge collection of strange waste being spilled all over the areas that were thoroughly cleaned the day before. Suspiciously, the havoc wad done by some bad politicians. As if it was well planned, in less than 30minutes, their gutter journalists were all over social media exhibiting gutter journalism, falsely accusing Kamarainba as not being able to pay for the collection of the trashes. A bo Salone man! Bad heart and cheap politics in active play here. The man did what he does willingly out of his own pocket and there you are busy collecting brown envelopes from your corrupt like-minded politicians to paint him black. God go pay una en Ebola nor go lef una all. As composed as he has always been, when I contacted him and drew his attention to gutter kind of journalism, Kamarainba did nothing but simply smiled and said to me: Turay this will make me more stronger. Just let them be. I personally learnt that a good journalist making a good story must contact all the persons involved and get their sides before going to press. But it seems as if this is contrary to what this so-call journalist learnt at Fourah Bay College. Or perhaps he knew this but wickedly allowed himself to be used by failed politicians at the detriment of his fine profession, to drag the fine politician to the gutter. However, youths of Rokupa who saw the Journalist trash and knew how helpful Kamarainba has always been to them, took on themselves and were on Tumac radio on Monday morning debunking the failed allegations again the fine politician. D.J. Polly a reporter for Tumac Radio was present during the cleaning exercise and also debunked the allegations on radio on Monday morning.
