We all have been moved by the shocking images and news that are coming from Gaza and am sure we are all trying to help in whatever way we can. As one such initiative, my Friend Talha Ahmed and his wife Humaira recently pledged to collect £10,000 ($17,000) for our brothers and sisters in Gaza. The money would go towards a specific project to provide 10 Accident and Emergency beds along with necessary life-saving medicine and equipment. There are a lot of good charities that are doing some great work in the region. The one they have selected is called Human Appeal. It’s a UK registered charity and has been established for over 24 years. The one positive thing about them is that they already have a presence in Gaza as they have been running various relief projects in the region even prior to this particular conflict. The only thing I would mention is that you can give zakat/sadaqah/khairat in this cause as I have checked their validity with the charity organisation.
