This Apple-exclusive partnership is expected to churn out 100+ enterprise applications for the iOS platform over the coming quarters. Apple has often been criticized in the past for its negligence of their corporate customers, although this customer base accounted for a sizable portion of the companys sales and revenue. In fact, nearly half of the Fortune 500 firms issue Apples mobile products for professional use by their employees. Apple has chosen IBM for this partnership, as the latter has decades of expertise producing applications that cater to the needs of enterprise users, and is the industry leader. The Apple-IBM deal promises greater productivity and ease-of-use for the technology giants enterprise users.
