Apple is our gorgeous 7-8 month old female red nose pit bull mix. Her story is terrifying considering how young she is. Her spirit is redeeming and a testament to the true pit bull personality. A man found her as a starving stray in the streets of NYC. Trusting and sweet, Apple followed the stranger and his dog home. He brought her in and fed her. Then forced his dog to try and mate on her. When he realized she was too young and not ready to become the breeding money machine he wanted, he decided to toss her back out onto the street. He walked up to the first person he saw and offered her to them. No questions asked. Luckily, the woman he approached was a kind and decent person. She found our number and called us for help. She could not keep Apple, but knew that she had to take her from this wretched man once he told her why he did not want to keep her. If we did not take her, the woman was scared she would have to turn her into the NYACC, where she would stand little chance making it out. Apple is a pure doll. While gaining weight and learning to trust humans, she is as happy go lucky as it gets. Her loving foster mother is working with her on basic training and manners. Although Apple has been through a lot, her spirit remains unbroken and she trusted us right away. Apple LOVES other dogs, car rides, and snuggling. Her past is exactly that, her past. She loves waking up in the morning and smelling the sweet aroma of freedom and love. Please help her continue this amazing new chapter in her life. Pick her!
