Applications for the Richard Beeston Bursary 2014 have just opened. It awards £6,000 for an aspiring foreign correspondent to spend six weeks abroad, researching and reporting on a story for the Times, as well as a further £6,000 for a journalist working in Lebanon, the West Bank or Israel to undertake a six week fellowship at the Times foreign desk in London. Richard, who died in 2013, was the foreign editor of the Times and a good friend and supporter of RPT.
