Arghhh! When good decisions go really, really bad... About a week and a half ago, I bought a new battery for my smoke alarm. While I was about it, I thought I might as well get a good quality one, because the old one was pretty so-so and I had got the feeling it never really worked properly. So off I went and paid quite a lot for a new battery. One of my nice neighbours helped me install it. So far so good. But apparently this new super duper battery is so sensitive it senses everything. EVERYTHING. Including steam from the shower. My smoke alarm is right outside my bathroom door, folks... Yep, so every freakin morning for the last ten days, right after my shower, there is a very flustered, short, naked woman somewhere in Lismore running around poking at her shrieking ceiling with a broom handle. I repeat. Arrgh!!!
