As I get ready to hang up my duties for the Christmas Holiday, I sit in my office and reflect on the members of this (and other) department who will be away from their family tonight and tomorrow. We all understand the shift schedules when we signed on the job and know that. sometimes, it means pulling the duty on Christmas; and even getting overtime pay for it in some instances, but it doesnt take the sting out of being away from family and love ones.
